Entangled Hacking for a Quantum-enabled Future!
The Real Value of Quantum Computers lies in the problems that they can solve for Humanity, which are either difficult or impossible to solve purely with Classical Computers.
Through the Hackathon we want to :
- Enable hackers to come up with Quantum applications and solutions using a Quantum Stack/Technology of their choice
- Collaborate across Geographies and get access to mentors from around the world to help them solve the problem.
- There will be introductory workshops to teach and cultivate skills in quantum technologies.
- Provide access to Incubation, funding and mentorship support for people who want to create a startup from their project
- Provide an opportunity for students to learn and be part of a larger community, providing them access to Leading Researchers, Top experts who can help the with their career.
- Enable Companies/Institutes to issue specific challenges for projects, experience the talent in Quantum and build relationships with future hires
- Pick up some of the winning projects to be part of the Open Source Projects that we want the Ecosystem to focus on.
Eligibility:
To tackle challenges in applying quantum technologies, we need not only people with skills in computer science, physics, and math, but also people with expertise in the application domains of this hackathon: financial services, life sciences, quantum security, and quantum sensors/communications, and even applications you can propose yourself!
Anybody starting students studying for undergraduate degrees to Working professionals, early stage startups.
Note: Startups who have already completed Series A funding are not eligible to participate in this challenge.

Financial Services
Any solutions that are for the Banking , Insurance or any other Financial Services companies which use Quantum technology to increase speed, efficiency , optimization etc or create solutions where none were possible. What use cases can you think of and develop solutions to?
Life Sciences
This is an umbrella category that includes Pharmaceutical, Healthcare, Biosciences, Bio Tech and affiliated areas
Quantum computing in healthcare can also enhance diagnostic imaging quality, analysis, and process, advance precision medicine; improve cost of services, and improve risk analysis.
Quantum Computing can speed up Drug discovery, enable better clinical trials, enhance many other processes for pharma
Quantum Sensors and Optimization can help create better diagnostic equipment. Anything mentioned here or any new solution for the Life Sciences sector using Quantum will be relevant in this category
Quantum Security
Quantum Computers ( when scaled to a sufficient number of qubits) will be able to break RSA in reasonable timeframes, thus making it important to find different solutions for security which are quantum resistant. There are several Post Quantum Cryptography algorithms that are available today. Moving to the new algorithms will require massive digital transformations for Companies. Secure Quantum Communications can happen through the use of QKD technology .Looking at these developments/opportunities and more, What solutions can you solve to enable a more secure Quantum Future?
Quantum Sensors/Communications
Any developments that enable , enhance or innovate faster, more secure and more distance communications using Quantum Technologies would be relevant to submit here. Any solutions that enable , work with or support Quantum Sensors are also applicable
Others
Any other Solution to a problem that you can think of , which uses Quantum principles can be submitted here

Highlights
- The projects shortlisted for the final evaluation will have an opportunity to present to Investors and Incubators for possible funding ( Pre Seed and Seed)
- Two Projects will get an opportunity to present their projects at the Quantum. Tech APAC Conference in Singapore
- Project teams that want to register their startups, will get support from empanelled Companies in the registration process, as well as any patent filing process. For this please write to legal@qetci.org
